PETRONAS
 

  • Provided strategic legal counsel to PETRONAS and its joint venture partners in the ELNG project and ensured the smooth operation of the business, safeguarding the company’s interests in Egypt’s oil and gas sector.
  • Represented PETRONAS in forming a joint venture with British Gas, Gas de France, and EGAS to establish the ELNG company, focusing on the construction of a new gas plant in IDKU and securing favorable contracts.



Union Fenosa LNG plant in Damietta (Sea Gas)

 

  • Negotiated on behalf of Union Fenossa Gas SA for the development of a natural gas plant in Damietta, involving structuring the Shareholder Agreement (SHA) and securing necessary approvals.



Infinity Power Holding B.V. (Joint Venture: EBRD, Masdar, Infinity Energy)
 

  • Represented Infinity Solar Energy in the round 1 and round 2 feed in tariff program in its negotiation with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) to conclude and execute the projects contracts.
  • Represented Infinity Solar Energy in the round 1 and round 2 feed in tariff program in its negotiation with the lenders both EBRD and IFC until the execution of the financing contracts and reaching financial closure.
  • Led the legal efforts in securing the first 50 MW solar project in Benban (Round 1) and was instrumental in securing 3 additional projects with a combined capacity of 235 MW in Round 2.
  • Represented Infinity Solar Energy in the acquisition of controlling stake in two SPVs developing 100 MW projects in Benban.
  • Established Infinity Power Holding B.V. (a joint venture between Masdar and Infinity Energy).
  • Played a critical role in advising Infinity Power Holding B.V. on its involvement in South Africa’s Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) program.
  • Played a critical role in negotiating a concession agreement with the government of Guinea- Conakry to develop 500 MW solar project in CanCan east of Guinea.



Qatar Petroleum International

 

  • Represented Qatar Petroleum International in the preparation of discussions with the Algerian government for the establishment of a petrochemical plant in Algeria, including legal and regulatory negotiations for the plant’s construction and operation.
